We specialize in Poodle Crosses because we believe they make wonderful pets. They’re non-shedding and their offspring are healthier. These poodle mixed breeds are very intelligent, making them easy to train.

Let’s Reflect

Hi everyone!   It’s been some time since my last post.   I do apologize for that.   Life as we know has changed and continues to change.   Not sure how I really feel about it all.   How much is too much and how much is really necessary!

As I continue to work from the front steps of the kennel some 18 months into covid, I just want to get back to normal.    I want to thank you all for being patient and understanding of our situation.

I am grateful every day for what I do, more so in these crazy times.   The smiles and relief I see on people/parents faces are priceless.   The world has changed so much and it’s really hard on most people and especially, the kids.  I feel so blessed that I can bring happiness into homes and put smiles on so many faces in such a time of need for normality.

I hope to reach more people with my Ebook – The Puppy Parent Guide – to give guidance to others who might be struggling.   Still there is too many uneducated new puppy owners out there.  There will be plenty of young dogs in shelters who were never trained, given any structure or have a foundation of trust.    Don’t be afraid to take on the challenge of a young rescue.   Just start all over from day one, as if this was a new puppy.    Start giving boundaries, independence, and training in small amounts.   This is how you start to build trust and develop your leadership skills.  Being a leader is the start of building the foundation for life.

I will start to do Question and Answer sessions on Facebook this fall.   Just reach out if you or someone you know need some assistance and I will be more than happy to help out anyway I can.

The dog world has slowed a wee bit.   I think most scammers are loosing ground as more people are being cautious.  The Puppy demand is still here and the puppy supplies etc, are still hard to obtain and the costs are still climbing.    I would like to touch base on this issue for a moment.   I felt the need to increase my puppy costs this 2021 season due to all the increases that took place.   These increases are actually getting worst.   With  supply and demand still an issue and will continue to be an issue I am afraid of what is going to happen.   Word has it that cost will increase by another 40-50% for supplies due to the freight cost increasing by 40-50% to get the supplies to Canada.    So just a heads up that we are going to be hit even harder than the last 18th months.   My guess is all puppy supplies like crates, play pens, toys, harnesses, medicines,  etc. will be hit hard.   I predict that some businesses will refuse to pay the ridiculous 40-50% increase in shipping costs.   An example of this is what would normally cost $8-9000.00 for shipping costs will now be $48,000.00.   Therefore there will be shortages.

Lumber seems to have gotten back to normal just in time for the steel prices to go through the roof.   Our food costs have gone crazy, when it this going to stop!   Yet there are some who are making billions while others are doing without.  How much can people take of all this craziness.    It’s no wonder  people are still wanting a dog.   It’s their sanity in this crazy world.

My feelings on this mess we are ALL in, whether you are vaccinated or not, that is not the issue here.   No one is any further ahead or will be any further ahead if 100% of the population was vaccinated.   Its’ not about that anymore.    It’s all about $$$$.   We ALL have to come to terms with what is happening in the world and fight for our rights together.   Remember we are stronger TOGETHER, we should not be forced to be divided.    We all have our own reasons and have different views but that doesn’t mean we ALL should have our rights taken from us.   Just think about that for a minute.

Sorry, I guess I go off track there for a moment.   I want to thank you all for trusting in me, being patient and waiting for your puppy.   I am coming into the end of the season.   I have a few litters left to be born and then the winter break starts.    I will breed again early winter for the March 2022 litters.

Stay safe, sane and grateful and think of a positive outcome and put positive energy into the universe for the best result possible.   With so much negative energy out there, we all need to think positive,  Step 1.   Until next time.
